All, I have to complete a condition monitoring assignment and the example being used is on a steam turbine and I have no knowledge in this area.
The assignment is looking at lubrication on a steam turbine that is driving a 300 mega watt generator. (64,000 Litres of oil) 1.Identify all oil tests that are available. Recommend what tests should be conducted on the oil and why? 2.Reasons why you are doing the particular test? 3.Establish a management change for this lubrication system. Who should be responsible for this, who should be involved and how would you intergrate this into your maintenance management program? 4.What parameters would you monitor to ensure success of these program changes? (To ensure a cost effective and reliable outcome for the turbine. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer. |
