I was given Fisk (I think) SPO 266 as the name of a gear oil to be analysed.

Anybody know anything about it? Fisk may be mispelled.

Thanks,

Danny

Hans,

Thanks for the link.

I know about the Lubriplate SPO oils, but what are Fisk and 266?

Thanks again,

Danny

Danny,
I could be wrong, but I think Fiske is the company name, and Lubriplate is a brand name owned by Fiske.

Danny,

The company is Fiske Brothers Refining. SPO-266 is a mineral-based R&O Gear and Bearing oil. See on page 5 of this data catalog:

Fiske Data Book

Hope that helps.

Rich,

I came across this by accident and realized that I never thanked you for the information, it really did help.
