Hi,
I need the acceptable limits of Viscosity and Flash points for the following lubes - used oils ESSO LUBE D3-10 - Application - Engine oil SAE 15W/40 - Application - Engine Regards Ramesh |

Flash point may vary with comtaminate. Try exxon.com or your oil supplier. Application needs to be known.

You can check your local specs of your engine oil the flash point and viscosity is provided there Im sure.
Here's the baseline : Flashpoint should not be lower than 400 deg fah, the higher your flash point the better, if this is engine oil remember that at 300 deg Fah normal range of temperature there are already oil evaporating from the system. Viscosity have a range of + or - 10 change in the original specs. |
