Hi from down under! Im wondering how many others are experiencing problems with their auto lube systems on their mobile fleet and what improvements they have made if any? We have implemented a new external grease filter to reduce contamination and allow a faster bulk fill to the reservoir instead of using the existing slow method pumping through a 1/4" grease nipple which takes 40 minutes.

Dusted,

I hope you can provide your real name, I used to work in a mining firm and I can give you advise regarding engine lube oil. What specific lube or grease are you interested at ?

Can we use this auto-greasing unit for motor greasing?

We just got done with a field trial of Auto Lubricators on a fleet of CAT 627G units. Everything was satisfactory. Like your trial, we used a bulk filler as the unit holds 12 liters of grease. The unit has a series of fault monitoring as well. It will allow for indication of low grease, blocked lines, motor fault, or power failure. In conjunction with a cellular GPS system, we have gained control of grease maintenance. We even have a "year round" grease with excellent staying capabilities that will run through the autolube and cut our lube cycles in half.
