THIS IS REGARDING EASE OF USE OF SKF TMVM1 HAND HELD VISCOMETER.

THE RECOMMENDATION IS TO USE THE GIVEN CUP, BUT THE CLEARENCES ARE SO LOW SOMETIMES YOU TOUCH THE ROTARY PART TO CUP AND READINGS FLUCTUATE.

HAVING A STAND IS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THIS , CAN SOMEBODY SUGGEST AN IDEA?

Measurement methods:
The measurement can be performed in the supplied measuring cup or in any other vessel.

Method I:
Quantitative measurement using the supplied measuring cup. In this method the viscosity of sample fluid is measured in the measuring cup. This method gives a more exact viscosity measurement in mPas. The advantage of this method is that exact reproducible measuring conditions can be achieved and exact temperature control is possible.

Method II:
Qualitative measurement/Comparative measurement
In this method the rotor is immersed in any available vessel.

The viscosity values given in mPas are only valid when the measuring cup is used with the rotor.

There is a link to a video demonstration on this webpage:
