I have a question on using routes.
This would be for PdM activities such as vibration. Currently I have a work order for each of my 4 units (850 Mwe Coal Plant). These work orders come out every month and I sign the new one on and the old one off. The work order tells me to take data on the equipment listed in the work order. If I have Maximo use a route that includes all of the asset numbers (we have an asset number for the motor, pump, gearbox, etc.) I will go from 4 work orders a month to over 400. While this tracks the work on each asset it becomes a paperwork nightmare. How are others handleing this? |

Here's what I do: I charge my manhours to WO #'s in the CMMS system for areas (7 areas) that include all machinery. It does not list hrs on each piece of equipment. Seemingly to me would be ????????????????? must not say it!!!!

Ron, I have faced the same problem using Route in Maximo. So only use the normal PM work order instead of using the route. Alternatively, you can copy the planned manhours to actual manhour field and change as necessary before saving.
