Is there a market for MAXIMO contractors. I would like to explore contracting as an Applications Engineer if possible. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You should spend some time at the Maximo User Group site

Our research shows that Maximo has close to 15% of the maintenance software market so you would think there would be lots of opportunities.

Good luck,

Terry,

Is there any hard data publicly available on market share in CMMS?

Hi Bryan,

The only data I know is from our CMMS Best practices survey. I have attached the two slides in pdf but will also post here:

CMMS Market Breakdown
18% Datastream
17% Maximo/MRO
16% SAP PM

These 3 vendors own 51% of the CMMS Market followed by:

5% Indus
4% MicroMain
4% Developed In House CMMS
3% JD Edwards/PeopleSoft
2% Mincom
2% Synergen
197 others reported other vendors

This was data frozen in 2004 and the summary report can be found by clicking here (pdf)

Questions and comments are invited.
