I do not create events! The CMMS does, and we take the data out. This is just a small example how we enter the database. The SQL script is build into the CMMs and it shows us a nice scorecard, aside that we use sql queries to sort the data in the way want, and make customized screens.
By the way, the users create events when the request work, buy something from the stores, ask a quotation, authorize purchase orders, move goods from one store to another etc... We do not create events to run SQL, we do maintenance and a lot of other things like attend meetings and housekeeping. Steven van Els, CMRP |

How is your CMMS connected to emergencies?

See evt_priority, Somebody (the user) has to type in the priority.
The users are "free" to give any priority they like as long as they stick to the rules. Obvious, an oilspill will not enter under priority 4. The bosses hate to be notified by a disaster in their plant, by the local press or CNN. This message has been edited. Last edited by: svanels, Steven van Els, CMRP |

Every transaction done in the CMMS has a number. Another word for transaction is event.
I could start an explanation about triggers, generators and stored procedures but that is Database stuff, which is not the focus here. Steven van Els, CMRP |
