In addition to a few other responses that you will get, if you are just looking to track your motors, try the US Dept of Energy's MotorMaster Plus software. This can be downloaded from: US DOE Best Practices

A simple set of instructions for using it, its functions and pre-made motor management decisions, can be downloaded from http://www.motordiagnostics.com/presentations.htm under the heading: T-Solutions 2005 Technical Papers "How to Use MotorMaster Plus"

The instructions were developed as part of an electric motor energy and condition analysis project.

Also on the US DOE site, you will find additional resources for pumps, fans, process heating, steam, etc. Also, an international version of MMPlus that has a database of metric motors.

The US DOE software and tools are pretty good, and free.

Hope this helps.

If you don't already have a CMMS you could consider the purchase of a low cost system that could be used to control your motor management. Many of these would be highly suitable for this. If looking for one ensure that it has database fields available that are suitable for recording motor data. Alternatively look for a system that has user defined fields that can be defined as motor fields, e.g. RPM, Type, Frame, Volts, etc.

If you want to contact me off the list I can suggest one or two that may fit the bill.
