Thanks. Where can we read more about the SEMI E10?

If I have 2 x100% pumps with a duty/standby cycle, normally we assign equipment criticality 2 becasue of the redundancy. If one of them is broken down, the one running should have criticality 1 automatically because if this one fails, there will be production loss. Do you mean the state changes specified in SMEI E10 that you mentioned can cater for this kind of scenario in cmms?

Hi Josh.
You can find out more about SEMI E10 at http://www.semi.org

E10 defines 6 States; Productive, Standby, Engineering, Unscheduled Down, Scheduled Down and Non-Scheduled. Multiple substates are allowed to define factory specific goals and metrics, but these 6 main states can be used to generate metrics aout equipment performance (RAM).

If the CMMS has the ability to record state then one could possibly build a model which would allow for this kind of measurement.

cheers
