It's difficult to draw conclusions without knowing what PAM systems that they are referring to.

Those reports by terry et al are about familiar CMMS on the market. Easy to understand.

Josh,

Given the details in the article, and the content of the discussions here, what do you think that PAM systems are?

Daryl,

Thanks again for the input - you have certainly been contributing some meaningful information and I am letting it distill.

Will revisit the CMMS/EAM Best Practices Survey also to begin a drill down to the next level of information that we can all learn from. I would appreciate some questions from you and Josh as well as anyone else who wishes to contribute.

Back for more soon.

Daryl,

I have not read the current PAM report but the previous report dealt primarily with process control type companies that were getting into the PdM business through acquisition (example: ENTEK acquired by Rockwell and CSI acquired by Emerson).

Now there are new players coming from different angles like SmartSignal, IVARA, Meridium, Insert Key, 24/7, and Azima Power.

Of course process and condition monitoring is going to grow as more and more assets are pressed into longer service to avoid capital investment.

Who am I missing?
