We are considering Mainboss or PMWorx for our CMMS system. Does anyone have any experience with either of these software packages? We will change from a paper system to a CMMS that will allow for reporting, etc. Any comments? We are mainly interested in being able to keep track of our workorders.

If your main order of business is work order management, I would highly recommend you evaluating the Guru CMMS from Cedesta. We have been using guru for a few years now and I can tell you (as a user) that I couldn't be happier with how my work orders are planned.

They really have one of the best work order systems I have evaluated, plus if you only want to manage work orders, you only need to purchase the maintenance module and not the other stuff (like inventory and purchasing.) For $299 per module, it's well worth the money.

Mainboss is good system, but its not terribly user friendly. PM Works did not work well in our environment.
