We are looking for a low end CMMS package for a stand alone computer for a very small plant. Does anyone have any experience and recommendations for an easy to use, inexpensive, low-end CMMS?

I here these questions about a low cost system day by day.
Please keep in mind that the licence fee for such a system is only a very small part of the overall costs for the implementation.
More costs will be caused by
- analysis of your processes
- master data migration / input
- adaption / customizing of the system to your requirements
- KPI / reporting
- and of course the daily required work for maintaining the system data

Keep in mind that the software will run for severall years. This means that the system provider should give you the feeling to be stable on the market with that system for a longer period.

First of all you should derive a list of your requirements. Then you can check system offer if they can fullfill your requirements.
Be carefull with software features. If you don't need them, forget them. Implementation of features brings complexity and additional costs for no benefit.

There are only a few rules here:

1) Use community standards of respect when communicating

2) No sales (except for the For Sale board)

I am sure many other forum members would like to know our recommendations as well.

To MaintBob - have you ever thought about an ASP or "Rented" CMMS? You may get more bang for your buck.
