I have a slight impression of witch hunting.

What is the purpose of the report, targeted audience, what can the report do to make life at the plant easier in terms of equipment, safety, working conditions?

There is an old proverb "there is no use crying over spilled milk"

I have done a Paretto on the abuse of priority codes of the workorders. We had some guys who would enter everything as Priority 1 Rather then let Maintenance change the priority (it was slipping anyway), I showed and published how they were misusing the system. Within 4 weeks the emergencies dropped with 3 per week to zero.

Another pareto case:
Operations claims that pump XYZ is always having problems etc.. They want another pump, better maintenance blah, blah..
We do a pareto, take the history of seven years, (it is a PCP sump pump).
Guess what? 20% maintenance problems, 80% rags in the stator. Big Grin
This data we presented on a meeting with Operations, and showed them how we got to the data. Now they back-up their arguments with facts. Cool

Meridium is more than a Pareto Charts creator. It is an Enterprise Asset Performance Management System. It integrates data from different systems (Process, vibration, CMMS, etc) to help managing the health of the assets. For example it can trigger the need of RCA (base on the criteria that you set) and assist in the analysis so you don’t have to spend 50% of your time looking for information…

We are evaluation this tool as well as others.

Have you brought in vibration data to Meridium? Is it difficult? I can bring data in as a dataset, but vibration information needs to be linked to Meridium (OLAP datacube?).

Also, do you know a way to query a dataset? I would LOVE to be able to perform a query on a dataset. This would mean you (we) could bring in our old Legacy based system's information as a dataset and query work order history! Wonderful! Can you help?
