I just want to get a general view or feeling on what "Audit" involvement is or should be with implementation of CMMS system

Audit whether the cmms can give the total cost of work order=cost of labour + cost of materials + cost of services + cost of tools.

Audit:
Master Data Accuracy

* If the master data was migrated/uploaded from a previous system to the new one, was the data received/ installed/ configured correctly?

Master Data Completeness:
* Is equipment list complete / correctly entered?

* Is instruments list complete / correctly entered?

* Have all equipment requiring PM their task lists and maintenance plans/schedules setup?

* Have all instruments requiring calibration their PM (calibration) tasks list and maintenance plans/schedules setup?

* same audits / verifications for BOMs, stock items.
