Sorry, never heard of those systems you mentioned but interested to know them.
Technicians process WOs - 15 mins per WO on average. Planner cum expert user - 5 mins per WO for job assignnment & troubleshooting if any. Clerks used for processing purchase rquisitions & service entry sheet - approx 10 mins for both. WO approval - 5 mins per WO. We have 30 mins weekly planning meeting to discuss approx 60 WOs - 0.5 min per WO on average. |

Josh,
SOunds lean, maybe too lean! What do you think, is it adequate? What about planning per work order? Are there any average times for that? Or the scheduling or is all of this dealt with at the planning meetiong? Is there any form of resource levelling that takes place in the CMMS or outside of it? Am curious to know if you think this is adequate. Do you, or your company, have any visibility of delay times on work orders or of schedule compliance? I would suggest that excesive times and excessive "lack" of schedule compliance may indicate a lack of proper planning attention and of exact scheduling. (More than likely due to a lack of resource allocation) What is the situation related to this? It may be that history has dictated this level of time investment for some reason. Rgds, |
