Hi all
I am doing maintenance (mechancal) for steel making plant,know when to change parts base on time, know when to change parts base on it's condition. We have been facing the problem when manangement (MBA Guys) reduced hour quantities of plan shutdown for productivity then unplan shutdown increasing caused by equipments in my resposibility.
Without concerning to cost I thinking 2 way out.
1. Increasing out source man power to perform maintenance activities as much as possible. Is it really work?
2. Propose manangement to keep hour quantities of plan shutdown as previous.What reason I shoud propose? (not easy to say because decreased plan shutdown).

Please in put your knowledged or opinion or suggestion..I have laging of knowledge for failure management.
