Hi there,

I am supporting a team of engineers that is involved in the process of estimating the remaining life of the existing heat exchanger bundles in a refinery. I am using the Ballot 581-17-0 on this subject from the American Petroleum Institute (API). The ballot is founded on the Weibull analysis. I also have their software on how to fulfil and browse a data base, but they just don’t provide any data whatsoever. This is precisely my problem: where should I look for such a type of data? The information available in the company on historical failures is too short or non existent at all (which is good on one hand and bad on the other, as all reliability engineers know Wink)

Can you help me? Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Rui
