Our gas turbines have a three layer filteration system, inertial, primary (AAF M80 pads) & secondary (AAF).

To increase our secondary filters life we have added two layers and three layers of primary filters on our machines.

But this arrangement brings filter change out to every third day.

What others have at their machines and what are the change out periods for secondary filters.

Any one changing sec filters at 16000 hrs or more.

It is not a normal practice to add layers
in between the filters.

If change out frequency is high then discuss with filter vendor/Package vendor.
