We are trying to perform FMEA analysis for a two winding Substation Power Transformer but some questions have arised in the discussion. Some people consider that the differential protection of the transformer must be included as part of the asset, from reliability standpoint, and hence its failures must be listed in the FMEA worksheet of the transformer but some other people don't agree with that. Any suggestion?
