Hi all, I hope someone can help me out. I've recently started an MSc couse and have been recommended 2 textbooks that cover this wide subject, problem is if I buy them they cost over £100.00 Frowner (that's pounds, not dollars). They are written by one of the course lecturers, coincidence?.......

So I'm looking for a cheaper alternative that covers topics such as, life cycle costs, organisation of maintenance departments, performance measures, plant aquasiton policy, maintanability. TPM, RCM and other management techniques.

Is there such a beast, perhaps you can recommend somthing for me.

Many thanks, in anticipation.

I think I know the course you are takning, understand completely the frustration.

A beginners guide, although probably not to the ultimate level that you are going to need could beUptime by the late John Dixon Campbell. A good book for an overview.

Regards

Thanks to those of you who have looked at my post over the last week, and especially to you Daryl and Josh for your recommendations. I'm going to try and get both the books from the uni library to look at before I buy them, and I'll let you know what I think of them.
