First, define your maintainability. Is it ease of maintenance for equipment/facilities, work process and human competency? If yes, there are so many things which be improved to facilitate the ease of maintenance for exisiting facilities.

Is the facility designed properly or too crowded? I have came across a compressor was installed without its railing and lifting device so the maintenance crew had to work longer to pull it out.

Do you use CMMS there to facilate work management and easier generation of KPIs?

Is the maintenance staff training up to standard?

Thanks Josh for example - any photos
this is an 20 year old offshore facility, but a taken over by a new African operator
I know all the maintainability defnitions, have the RAC maintainability tool kit, which is mainly about front end design, but was looking for some practical examples with photos to illustrate installation issues.
I know I can measure poor maintainability thro high downtime, repair hour, manhours etc and then investigate the constraints.
