I am really getting a kick reading all the posts I missed while at 3 conferences on 3 continents in 3 weeks! Many of the comments posted are making me smile.

I thought I would be virtual and stay completely connected however my cell phone malfunctioned right away, my computer got fried by a power surge in a hotel and I even somehow burned out my iPod!

Educationally - the trip was a success - technologically - it was a total disaster!

I will file more reports as I catch up but I just wanted to say it was sure nice to be plugged in again!

I don't hold it against you Walt. I would not lend me anything remotely electronic till I reverse this trend.

I am slowing climbing back toward technology -

I removed my Alienware laptop hard drive (as they told me they would reformat it) and was able to download my 2856 songs I have burned to iTunes and my Photos.

I found a place (on the web of course) that will repair my iPod for a fair price (Apple wants me to throw it away - I guess they subscribe to "Run To Failure") and I bought a replacement mobile phone on eBay for $35.

Not feeling so bad about my Gadgets any more.

Ahmed,

Good to hear from you and yes - my travels always provide learning and mind expansion. I plan to report some of that in the coming weeks and months.

I hope to get to your region within the next year as well.

I hope all is well for you.
