Hello gents,
I've some questions regarding start implementing Kpi's in logistics and mobile equipments maintenance:-

1-How can we measure the standby equipments time?
2-The replacement for one truck caused confusion in MTTR, MTBF & availability?
3-Do any gentleman has a excel sheet as an example for Kpi's with stand by? I appreciate it in a Zip file.
4-Unit of measure is Moment or Hour?

Kind regards,
Haytham Taha.

Moment? Like instant or minute?

Is the rate of events so fast that events/hour or events/day are not good enough to measure it?

Are you asking for a spreadsheet to calculate KPIs for a standby mobile equipment?

Yes josh, prefer to both as an example. (Showing the calculation of standby).
Cause as I knew that we calculated the down time. But do we calculate it if we replace with a standby one?!!

Thanks for your replay.

Hello Heposlamos,

For standy you should be using availability in which it will be 100% all the time assuming it aint broke.

For running equipments you should be using both availability and utilization. Your mobile equipment might be available 100% but have been only utilized for 60%

Heres the formula :

Availability = Avail time - All downtime
-------------------------
Available time

Utilization = Loading Time - Machine Downtime
---------------------------------
Loading Time

where : Loading time is available time - planned downtime

both utilization and availability will be in percentage
