Dear Everybody,

After several years use I am posting here a scanned copy of Resnikoff's "Mathematical Aspects of Reliability-centered Maintenance"

I would suggest to you all that this is a document that everybody needs to read or at least glance through once.

Along with the original report it is one of the truly seminal documkents in our managerial discipline and it may change the point of view on a few iwssues. (Or at least challenge them)

The blurb in the book reads:
quote:
The main purpose of Lhis appendix is to provide a mathematical description of the Reliability-Centered Maintenance Program.)developed by United Air Lines. (*Although a mathematical formulation may not make it any easier to implement this program, by placing it in a broader context we hope to emphasize the generality of its underlying principles and encourage their application to complex systems other than commercial air fleet maintenance operations.

I sincerely hope that it is of use to everybody on the forum. This document is for open distribution as claimed on one of the first pages. So I do not believe there are any issues with it being posted here.

For many of us this may well complete the original information regarding RCM. Resnikoff, Nowlan and heap and MSG-3 seem to be good baseline documents.

The documents referred to in this post can be found at the following link:

Hi Daryl,

It is good information for sure. Unfortunately, I got the disappointing message in attempting the download: “The file is damaged and could not be repaired”.

Do you mind confirming whether it is plausible?
