Is this suitable for running pumps and mechanical seal to be washed with water (just for house keeping)

is there any standard regardng this issue?

No we do not have heavy rain in our area, 2ndly rain will not affect that much as compare to showering directly by pipe...

It is never advisable to wash down the rotating equipment while running due to many of reasons;

The risk of entering water into the bearing housing causing lube contamination. This may lead to premature failure of bearing.

Water accumulation on some of the locations can initiate corrosion.

There is possibility of entering water into the electrical JBs causing safety hazard.
And so many others.

Therefore never try to wash down the running pumps while they are running.
