Hi,
I would seek some advice on a problem recently came across. Its on a winder spool shaft for nonwovens textile winder machine, there are arking mark at one of the bearing seating and at the bearing inner race bore. Visually the bearing looks ok, bearing type 30218J2SQ, No data was taken (since no vibration)Taken down because of quality issue, from the attached photos is it could be shaft unbalance or possible from the static, since there are high static current as in production . Thank you This message has been edited. Last edited by: vellangana, IR_bore.JPG (1,211 KB, 15 downloads) |

Measure the spacing on those marks and this will give you frequency that you can relate to an event taking place on the operation of the roll.
Static is random, current is generally constant; if it is not trace it to its pulsating source. Use a DMM for this. If you absolutely have noting vibration instrumentation wise - use the DMM in conjunction with a transducer and get an overall reading - it's something and something is better than nothing.
