I am working in a fertilizer plant in Pakistan. Recently we had a fire incident at our plantsite. Reason being the failure of 'Gland Packing' of 8" 2500lb Rating valve installed at Synthesis Gas line.
We currently dont have any standard procedure for Gland Repacking. Could anyone tell me about the proper gland packing procedure being implimented in the respective plant. |
