After the last disasterous effort to upload the REsnikoff documents here I have broken them into their individual chapters which shoul enable me to do so now.
I have also sent these to Terry who is working on a way to upload the entire document for everybody's use.
Again, and for the last time, I sincerely and strongly recommend this document as reading for anybody who is active in the fields of reliability.
Regardless of whether you are into RCM, streamlined whatever, RBI, PMO (or any of the other wonderful acronyms we tend to create) this document will provide you with some essential background information, generated by one of the brightest minds that our managerial discipline has evolved.
Chapter outlines:
- Introduction - Elements of Probability - Terminology of REliability Theory - Useful Survival distributions - Simple and complex systems - Reliability-centered Maintenance - Information and maintenance programs
I hope it is of use.
As a personal note I particularly like the way he dismisses the bathtub curve with a very simplistic and straight forward explanation of why it is seems to not even be physically possible.
