So, the group that helped Enron?

Nothing should be just 'run to fail'. HOwever, not all should require PdM technologies; rather RCA - extend life to maximum and be done with it.

Never bypass a penny. Someone that doesn't take care of the penny shouldn't be entrusted with a dollar!

There are items that cost less to purchase & install a new unit than invest time to maintain them, run to fail (or run to die) may prove to be an economical solution after all.

Hello Giga,

I hope this can help you in your machine ranking. Purpose is to classify which machines belong to Rank A, Rank B and Rank C. Hence priority in maintenance tasks activities should be given to Rank A which is the critical equipments

Although, I have to warn you between choosing Rank A, if equipment fails frequently due to its age, might as well decide if its worth restoring or retiring.
