I am looking for a software for estimating motor efficiency to be used in Thailand (not the same system as in the US). Any suggestion? Thanks. Somchai Dechapanichkul UEE Technology (Thailand) Ltd Bangkok Thailand |

US DOE publishes free programs Go to:
http://www.oit.doe.gov/bestpractices/software_tools.shtml#mm Look for the international program. "MotorMaster+ International includes many of the capabilities and features of MotorMaster+; however, now you can evaluate repair/replacement options on a broader range of motors, including those tested under the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) standard, and those tested using International Electrical Commission (IEC) methodology. With this tool you can conduct analyses in different currencies, calculate efficiency benefits for utility rate schedules with demand charges, edit and modify motor rewind efficiency loss defaults, and determine "best available" motors. The tool can be modified to operate in English, Spanish, and French." I am not positive if this will cover 50 hz but the fact that they mention IEC leads me to believe that it does. Also standards organizations (NEMA, IEC) have minimum efficiency classifications and motor manufacturer's web pages offer efficiency for catalogue motors. This message has been edited. I have tried several times and never had a problem. Did you try again later? Maybe the website was down for awhile.
