We have been using a Sentinel Ultrasonic Condition Monitor since 1999 to monitor bearing condition at or Coal Crushing and Barge loading Facility. This as proven to be a very useful instrument. I am currently trying to find a distributor for this unit. All our old contacts seem to have disappeared. Does anyone know of this unit and supplier or agent for it. It was originally supplied by United Systems Technologies Pty, 3 Newbury St, Wantage,Oxfordshire OX12 8BU regards

Don't know about that but I do use a MHC-Memo Pro of Holroyd Instruments. Uses acoustic emission for checking bearings & is really good, especially for low speeds. You can check them on www.holroyd-instruments.com.

Try local Rockwell Automation or Allen Bradley distributor who have the Sentinel product now.

I was curious about this product and tried an Internet search. I found the company listing: Address: 11-12 East Lockinge Wantage Oxfordshire OX12 8QG Phone: 01235 861776 Fax: 01235 861876 Info: Predictive Maintenance Tools and Instruments There was no E-mail or web site for this company. My guess is that it is a sales company and not an OEM. It may also use the Sentinal name on an OEM brand. Rockwell uses the Sentinel name for a non-ultrasound product. I personally use an SDT-150 ultrasound meter for bearings with great success. There are several other ultrasound meters sold for bearing fault detection including UE Systems Ultraprobe and SPM Shock Pulse Meter. Let us know if you find the source or OEM for the Sentinal meter that you have. Walt |

Barry I am not sure if you got my other message, however I can supply you with this unit. I have got 8-10 in stock that I purchased from Chris some years back. I sold most of them to nuclear power plants in Sweden. You can purchase the whole lot for 10.000us£ delivered to any location in the world. They are all in fine condition and never been used. Any way if you are interested let me know. We use to sale these units to the neuclear power plants in Sweden.
