Hi guys,
I just wanna find out how often your accelerometer cables fails on you. I have the CSI 2-pin to turck accelerometer coil cable which fails on me quite often approximately 6 months or so. Brought this subject up to CSI but they said that this is possiobly due to the cable being exposed to high temperatures.

Question:
How often do you change accelerometer cables?

Choices:
<6 months
6-12 months
12-36 months
Never changed before

I use a CSI 2120 with a 2-channel adapter. The cables have a mil connector on the accel end and a bnc connector on the adapter end. I used to have to repair or replace the b-channel cable about every 6 weeks but in the 5 years since I switched to CTC cables have broken only one and had it replaced free.

I use a CSI 2120-2 analyzer with the 25-pin adapter and BNC cable connector. This set up rather fragile, so I put a Velcro cable tie at the BNC end of the accelerometer cable. I then wrap the tie into the case strap D-ring. This gives a strain relief. I have never had a BNC connector failure.

So far nobody uses the 2-pin to turck connection? I have now 5 damaged cables. No time to repair it though. Maybe I'll try CTC.

Dave,
Whatr do you mean by lifetime warranty? Does taht include accelerometer cables as well?
