I work for a large concrete products manufacturer in the US and we are looking for a handheld device to measure the levels through the tank walls in our iron oxide pigment tanks .
Anyone have any leads?Google has so far failed me .

If its a single wall tank a low cost infrared camera should work.

My money would be on infrared, too. It's so versatile. Check around in your company--someone out there might have one you could borrow for a week. A little coaching on the phone from one of your co-workers on how to use it and I promise you won't want to give it back.
