I should like to know, if you have some experience in check failures in the vacuum between space of two tanks.
When I have the storage of LNG, I use a double tanks. The first tank is in inox, where Ihave the LNG, and second tank is in carbon steel, and between the two, I have vacumm with "perlite". If I loose the vacumm, some failure I have. Can I use your system to check the cause. Thans for your answer. regards, José Teixeira jmmteixeira@transgas.pt |

I can't speak to your specific problem.
BUT...I've used thermography on condensers to look for in-leakage around hatches. The condenser was at vacuum and hot so leaks showed up as cool spots. After shutdown and repair of seals and gaskets we did post maintenance thermography on restart to verify that the leaks were repaired. Hugh Hackett |
