In a Rolling Mill we have a predict maintenance program based on vibration measurement for No twist equipment. This service is provided by our company called SIM-BSV SRL and we provide the information about the condition of No twist equipment by a monthly report.

So we are interested in to know if someone have experience in this type of equipment and its predictive maintenance based in vibration measurements about:

* Measurement locations:

SIM-BSV SRL take vibration measurements on the points indicated by the attached pictures.

* Measurement parameters:

SIM-BSV SRL use measurement parameters like Velocity, Acceleration and Acceleration Enveloped to determine the condition of No twist equipment.

In addition we would like to know if someone have experience about detection of faults on bearings located on the inside of the stands (far away from the measurement location). It could be some limitations to detect problems in this type of bearings?

Also we would like to know about which frequency of measurements is suggested to the monitoring service. Actually the measurements are monthly.

About alert – alarm vibration levels, which is your experience?

Sincerely.

Luis Velázquez
SIM-BSV SRL
