Click on "Articles" for some good references. I neither use nor sell the Tango software program, but it looks like you could use it.

I suggest you discuss with maintenance and operations management/supervisors the following:

What information is available?
What information is needed?
When is information needed?
What are the critical faults of the current report (content, format, and delivery schedule)?

I think you will find that report "format" is the least of your problems.
