Hello All:
The existing techniques for condition monitoring of rotating electrical plant include: Vibration Analysis and Routine CM Surveys Infrared Thermal Imaging Lube-Oil Analysis Ultrasonic Acoustic Inspection Motor Current Analysis Partial Discharge testing Does anybody here have the idea about the question: the type / size of motor (induction / synchronous) to which the technique should be applied? Cheers! Powertech |

You may like to ask this question at the Motor board also.

Rule of thumb is above 15kW if following ISO. Of course have to see the economics and quantities or population.

I presented my information on the motors board. Included some papers, etc. that may be helpful.

Thanks, MotorDoc,
I also have some other suggestion like: some technique could be combined, for eaxmple, vibration analysis plus lube-oil analysis will give a comprehensive and precise picture of machine health. PT |
