I asked this ? to help our vibe program and for coutineing education for the tech.at our plant !some people do not have a endless suppley of money and have to make the best choice for resources for the people

You should really provide a choice in a poll. YES/NO, graded 1-to-10, up/down, A-B-C-D...some sort of choice, otherwise it is not a poll.

I generally recommend you attend a class from your PdM provider to fully utilize the capabilities of your system and the folks at www.technicalassociates.net for their real world analysis training. Getting away from your plant and interacting with peers in a good learning environment without plant distractions is very valuable.

Having said that, I recommend the ilearn system as a great tool to have on hand for continued learning, as a technical reference and refresher, and that it is good value for your money.

I use it as part of my final year Mech Eng course, but only 8 in 36 hrs. I use it because we cannot take 65 students on-site nor can we have them in a lab class with a data collector and various machines.

I use it as an aid in classes I teach. I think it is an excellent tool - That said, I think there is no better way to learn then to have someone else teach you... I would use iLearn but I wouldn't say that by purchasing it you'll no longer need training...

Curious as to why you can't?

I recently completed training in the subject package and would have to give it a high grade (at least 8 if not higher).

It was well structured, well explained and quite easy to follow. While some topics were new and thus complex (to me-you don't know what it is you don't know), the author or the material went to great lenghts to ensure adequate understanding of the topic before moving forward.

Having gone through the old IRD stuff and some TA material, I would have to say it is the best training agenda and exposition I have seen to this point.

Beyond the training software, the certification testing classes they provide key in on specific topics, adding detail that reinforce practical application of techniques covered in the package.

For one, I am not at all surprised that a college professor would employ this material as cirriculla towards a reliability-oriented engineering degree program.

I have purchased the “I learn vibration CD” and also attended the Mobius level II vibration class and certification.
I learn vibration is very well thought out and presented, I might add is an excellent reference tool.
I attended the Level II course in May and would highly recommend any one interested in a level upgrade certification, to attend the course. The instructor was Tony DeMatteo and if you have not had the pleasure of meeting him, you should. He is a great asset to our industry, and insures that you not only learn vibration but presents it in a way that you can understand it. Worth every cent I invested
