Right now we are trying to start a predictive maintenance program with CSI's Master Trend and 2120 analyzer... I am also a beginner analyst.

The thing is I don´t know how to set up Peak View on the master trend, I mean I don't know which is the appropiate filter to use in the "signal processing parms" window... For example Entek's SPIKE ENERGY uses a filter between 5 and 50 KHz but that option is not available on master trend's filtering set up. Also i'm guessing G's are the best engineering unit to measure with Peak view but it allows to measure in any unit I want... how is this possible?
By the way, I was doing this set up for a AC motor, 1800 rpm...
Thank you very much for the help you can give me....

Jose,
It's been a long time since I dealt with Master Trend, so I'm a little rusty on it. You are right; you want to keep peakvue in Gs. The software will let you set it up in different units, but the data won't be valid. I would use a 1,000 Hz filter for an 1800 cpm motor. I'll try to attach one of my setups for an 1800 motor. RBMWare looks a little fancier than Master Trend, but the basics are the same.

If you go to the Emerson Website, there are some very good papers on how to set up peakvue

The link below goes to a paper that describes peakvue in great detail.

Or there area lot of tech notes here, some of which are about how to set up and use peakvue.

Hope this helps

David,
I noted that you collect 11 parameters in your peakvue AP set. Would you mind detailing those?

Thanks,

Ian

Ian,
I don't have any parameters set in Peakvue. The 11 is just left over scraps from something else that I haven't taken time to clean up yet.

Jose,

Here is a database you might can merge the peakvue setup or copy it if you like.

Just save it to your harddisk, change the name after download by removing the numbers before the testpv an it should open, depending on what version of MTwin you are using.

Thanks and Have a Great Day,
