The website link that used to take us to the forum now takes you here>>> http://www.entekesafe.com/cgi-bin/MSG.html which is no longer a forum but instead a link to a knowledge-base or an email link to tech support. I couldn't find a reference to the forum anywhere on the site. The link you have Mike, still works-Itried it, but I don't see it shown publicly on their site anymore. Over the last few years as an Entek user, I have been less than impressed with Entek's most recent owner. Dana

Mike, your link doesn't work for me. I used to visit the Entek board occasionally but there wasn't much going on there. I believe what we have here (Reliability Board) is much better. One thing that happened recently on the Entek board was that someone had started posting some spam and porn links. Maybe the folks at Rockwell decided it wasn't worth their time to chase it.

Any comments...?
I believe you are right Stan. I/we am/are the source for their existence. I know in this plant I am ultimately responsible for creating and maintaining a predictive maintenance program so don't f#$k with me. There are other players out there that would love to jump right in.

The board was done away with because, as someone up above stated, they wee getting spammed, and no one wanted to put the time in as a site admin. The guy who was more or less watching it, moved up to software guru. So they took it down. As far as the on line stuff goes, what has been said is basically correct. However, Rockwell apparnetly has no intention at this time of doing away with the group, as a new data collector is due out end of this month. It will be an Enpac 2500. At release, it will be basically the same as the 1200. Dual channel, (much faster collection and processing), have 25 Meg internal memory, and a few other things. By January '06, they are supposed to have all of Datapac1500 functionality in this puppy. Supposedly costs less than 1500. Will have black case to set it apart from previous enpacs. I think they (pld enpacs) will go away, since they have not been accepted very well due to their slowness and few software issues.
EntekIRD is still alive, and appear to be more or less on their own. Rockwell is taking all the money from them it can, I'm sure, but they have been more or less left to either make it or die on their own as a vibration company (so far they are still making it). Rockwell is interested in promoting the software and on- line instruments, but EntekIRD (I have to stick the IRD on there, can't help myself) is not disappearing.
