I saw somewhere someone mentioned uploading and downloading without using serial communications. How can this be done? I use a datapac 1500. I haven't had any problems until I bought a new computer. Now I cannot connect to the datapac. The error message is unable to autobaud. I need some help asap.

I use the datapac to troubleshoot pumps and steam turbines. I don't run any routes. I am the troubleshooter.

Thanks for your help!

First format the card through dos.
Then run the datapac utilities and "Initialize the card".
It should be able to be read by DataPac then.
OOOPS, I forgot, you don't have a card reader.
I'll have to look up how to format the card through datapac.

Dave,
I have tried to find a card reader that is usb for my desktop. My Laptop does not have a pcmcia reader built in. Do you have any suggestions on where I can buy a card reader? what are the specifications or which model should I buy?

Thanks,
Chris

Pump[Doc,

Google "OmniDrive" or "OmniDrive Professional"
Here is a link to one vendor

http://www.intproducts.com/omnidrivepro.html

It is a desk top unit, fairly inexpensive (I think I gave around $350.00?, Maybe Confused)
Woks well. I used one until I got software from APsoft with drivers to make my card reader in my laptop work. You can get them in either USB drive or Parrallel Port Drive. Mine is USB.

PumpDoc,

Yes it will. However, you may need this workaround. Win 2000 is kida screwey in some areas.
