I have 2 gas lift reciprocating compressor sets. I have checked the specification and datasheet to determine the machine grade and vibration classification number but to no avail. How to get the machine grade?
The machine grade is from 1.1 to 180 while the vibration classification no. is A/B, C and D with increasing vibration values. |

As far as I know the idea was that the manufacturer would supply that number and they don´t. One way to get a reference anyway is to revert to the old obsolete standard 2372 class 6 that indicated 4.5mm/s as good, 11 allowable, 45 just tolerable and then above, not permissible, for "reciprocating machines and similar with unbalanced masses". Better than nothing? Olov

Oli, look like in the old standard, there is no reference to the machine grade?
