My message and upload doc failed too large
If you e mail me on dave@ramsoftuk.com can send you a ppt
also visit www.weibull.com there is a lot of downloadble info incl evaluating redundant systems. the RBD depends on your scope and data available and the results you are looking for
I am currently UK rep for Reliasoftm, they have a regional office in Chennai

Umang,
There are many books on the subject, e.g.,
1. The Reliability of mechanical systems, Davidson, IMechE Press, ISBN 0 85298 881 8
2. Reliability, Maintenance and Logistic Support, Kumar et al, Kluwer Publishers, ISBN 0-412-84240-8
and many others (by Ebeling, Rausand, Blanchard etc). Both my books, details below, also have short sections on RBD.
