I am applying a know vibration level in the analasis mode, it is reading a factor of 10 high. In the dynamic menus if I go to input setup, the unit goes to the setup window, but no data can be entered, all you can do is turn the unit off!! Any ideas, am I in the wrong menu.

I think you may have the senstivity set at the wrong level, ususally set at 100 mv/g however, if this is at 10mv/g or 1000 mv/g then you will be out on your readings either a factor of 10 high or low.
With regard to the set up menu, you need to set your user level to have admin rights, otherwise you will not be able to enter or change data.

We were unable to change the sensitivity level in the input menu, as the memory had become corrupt. By holding down 6 and 9 and pressing the on button for a few seconds, this reset the memory and we were then able to input the right sensitivity into the input menu.
